Hi I'm back.
Just had a very tough weekend. A lot of singing rehearsals.
Anyhow I have practically exterminated all Orcs besieging the castle all the way upto the old tower and to the mine sites. There are no living Orcs in that area. Now I'm on level 24 and have 29 experience points left.
Intend to get my strength to 90 and then additional 10 I have in potions and Dragon plant, whatewer it might be called.
Now I need a bit of advice.
- Do I need to keep some experience points in order to learn how to get dragon blood and heart?
I learned a skill of taking fire lizzard tongue but when I tried to take one I could not do that. How comes?
I would not like to spend exp on useless skill if it is not necessary.
- Is it better to get my 2H on 70% or my crossbow on 50%?
Got now a heavy crossbow and it can kill Orc Elite with abt 4 hits.
My total score this weekend is something like far more then 100 wariors and far more then 50 elite. I could find out how much with counting all Orc axes with all traders I sold them to.
Just a good crossbow with 40% and then you can even withstand 4 Orc warriors at one time, under condition of having enough hitpoints on that level. Only need to keep shooting. When one is dead bow shoots automatically to the next. No need to turn arround. Cool. Only need s at least 500-1000 bolts in reserve. Works like a sort of Gothic Kalashnyikov. Also need a lot of Life Potions, all you cen get, but most of the Orcs have some on them after you kill them.
I killed the Demon in old wizzard's tower and 3 Harpies, terribly lot of dragon snappers and wargs.

- Is there any possibility to get extra experience now that all Orcs are dead and I have commenced sucha terrible slaughter?

- Are there many lizzards warriors to kill before facing the dragons?
Some of them in the swamp I killed in chapter 2 already.
- How difficult is it to kill a dragon?

- Where are the dragons?
One in the swamp, one in the old tower, ....???

You playing a paladin, right?

You don't need to know about dragon scales and blood. Jan will buy blood from you and you get some xp from it but it's pretty minor considering what all you have to do anyway. Lizard tongues I don't know about, unless you're trying to get plain lizard tongues which doesn't work.

You already know how to get dragon hearts if Pyrokar told you how to recharge the eye of Innos.

Get your 2H to 60 and, if you can, get your crossbow to 60 also. You will have an even easier time killing critters with master in crossbow. You still have plenty of xp coming to get your str and everything up there. When you come back from killing dragons you'll get another quest to kill a bunch more orcs.

Dragons can be a pain when you're alone. Some you will be able to recruit help and one you have to do alone, cause noone will follow you up to the fortress. Your level is fine and with master in sword, you'll do fine.

One dragon in swamp, one dragon up on the old fortress, one is in the volcano, and one is in the ice region where new camp used to be. Lots of lizardmen to kill, plenty of xp. Talk to Oric in the castle and he can give you some details.

Thanks for advice.
I don' know my stats exactly at this moment(I'm at my work now) but I think as follows:
2H - 74
Crossbow - 60 after some learning yesterday
Strength - 96 + the amulet of 15 and a ring of 5(amulet goes off when the
Eye of Innos is on).
Dexterity - 75 to 80 not sure on that one(I ate some goblin berries recently)
Mana - 30 but that one I did not increase at all as I think I don't need it
as Paladin. Not so much anyhow, or maybe I do?
This should do for killing dragons, I suppose.

- Are there some more mana, strength and dexterity potions to be found?
- Is there a crossbow teacher that can teache above 60?
- Can a dragon be killed with a crossbow or only with melee?

You can get a str or dex potion from oric when you get the hoshpak quest. There's a few elixers of life near dragons and at least one more str potion in VoM, there's also a dex potion up around where a bunch of dragon snappers hang out on the way to Marcus' mining site. There's an elixer of spirit with the skelly mage near Angar, and an elixer of spirit in the demon tower (Xardas' old tower if you played G1).

As far as I know no one teaches xbow past 60 til ch 6.

Xbows hurt the dragons also.

Thanks for reply.
Just read that there are some kind of Holy arrows available in the game. Where and from whom can I get them? I suppose from the monastery....?
Not quite sure.

Holy Arrow is actually a magic spell rune that Paladins get. It does a lot of damage for the number of mana points you need to put in (does 100 for only 5 mana!).

It's turned out that I have killed all the dragons (multiple times over multiple plays) with a XBow, except once when I used Lightning spells to kill the Ice Dragon once.

To my mind, using XBows is the easiest way to kill all dragons.

Hello,
I killed 2 dragons. Swamp and Rock. Now I am just a bit dissapointed because it went rather easy. I expected at least a bit of a resistance.
It comes probably bcs I am now on much higher level(27 I belive) and crossbow on 60 so I can kill a dragon with abt 4-5 bolts and survive an attack by upto five Lizzard men at the same time.
Ging to get remaining 2 dragons tonight.

- What about Silvio's challenge. It has to do with Ice dragon, I suppose.
- Is there anything special I need to know before going further?

OK now I have killed all dragons and all lizzard warriors and all orcs in the walley of mines. I also killed Sylvio and Bullco as thay wanted to get my loot after killing Ice dragon.
Then I went into the castle and sold all lizzard swords and stuff reported to the boss of Paladins overthere and teleported myself to the pass of the walley of the mines an then I came into the 5th chapter. Then I teleported to Zardasz and fell pracctically in the hands of Orcish Warlord. I kill him as well. Then I went inside and I was killed by two demons. Then I quit playing.
- What to hell is going on in the Zardaszs tower? Does anybody know?

Thanks for tip jmurdock.
Anyhow I went back into the tower and killed the mosters. Hope that wont spoil the game but they were worth a lot of XP.
Then I killed several Orcs on my way to town. There I reported to lord Hagen who told me to kill Orcish Colonel.

- He should be on the farm on the way to Szardasz tower I suppose?

However I tried to get more 2H skill from Girion but he begon over taking ship so I convinced him to go with me but now he can not teach me 2H any more.

- Is there anybody else who could do that?
- Is there anybody who can teach xbow above 60?
- Where is that heavy Paladin armor?

Btw I found Angar's amulet but he was not in the castle any more.
- Where can I find him?

Do you ever search?

Anyway, Girion will teach again in ch 6, everything but str and dex

Orcish colonel is in a cave in the valley across the road from Lobart's farm. Put the city wall on your right, and follow it around, eventually you come to a little canyon or cut partially concealed by foliage, follow it to the end.

As for heavy paladin armor, when you find the secret library in the monastery, you'll find an almanac with instructions for making a rune of teleportation, this rune brings you to the room which holds the armor.

Check for Angar on Bengar's farm.

Well, jmurdoch, thanks again.

Your remark is OK but I do search very much, only at this moment I have a lot of things to do with my second profession, which is classical singing, so I don't have much time to play and in this way try to save some time.
On top of that I see this as a sort of diary or walkthrough.
Not for 100% but still it can be usefull for others, I belive...
Actually I think I have checked whole Walley of Mines. Even more I think I killed every hostile living being in the walley.

BTW I have now abt 45 experience to spend an my strength is on 100, dext 100 I can only work on crossbow and 2H but there are no teachers.
Any suggestions?

I was just picking a bit. , please forgive me I can be a bit of a troublemaker now and then.

Anyway, good luck with singing

Did you say you already got aboard the ship? Then you'll have to wait for ch 6 to train again. Also, no training on str, dex and weapons past 100

You can use a few points to learn alchemy. If you know where the sun aloe is, Sagitta can start you off. Once you learn the permanent potions, then you can increase str and dex again. If you learn all of the mana potions then you can learn elixer of spirit and so increase your mana that way. Or you could train mana, but it's 2 for 1 for paladins and mercs.

I think I have sold Sun aloe and did not want to learn alchemy at the time. If I find to whom I sold it maybe I can buy it back and try again. I have now a lots of money. Something like 10.000 or more.
Or maybe I gave it to Sagitta?

- Btw I hope that Orcish colonel is not the only side quest in chapter 5?
- What is the last chapter?

Oh yes there is also the crypt that has to be finished. Last chest I mean.
Now I have dragon xbow. Maybe that works better.

Well, you still have to get all the other orcs too. It gives you quite a bit of experience. You can go back and beat up Dar at Onar's farm. Your captains quest needs to be finished for whoever you choose for captain. So there's still a few things to be done.

Ch 6 is the last chapter.
