I bought gothic a few mouths ago and I am still having trouble figuring out the controls. I have edited the controls opition in the directory so I knew what every button did but I still can't figure out how to do simple things like pick up weapons. I can't start playing because I can't get a weapon. Any advise? |

There are combinations that will allow you to do everything you need.

Just open inventory and "use" a weapon (ctrl-up by default). But if you stats to low to use it, then nothing to de happened.

There was nobody that hated the controls more than me. But, like what has been said numerous times in the posts, the controls are set up quite well, and become habit after awhile.
