| Chapter 4: Joining new camp impossible! |

Hello!
I've really role-played in this game. I've kicked some people's butts, though it wasn't part of a quest or anything, because I felt they deserved it, and I've ignored certain quests because I felt that I the people involved where up to no good...
This has led me to the following situation:
I have been wandering around in Chapter 4 for awhile, and realized I need better armor. However, I am only an old camp shadow... this, it seems, the game did not expect, since all options for joining the new camp are gone (neither Lee nor Lares has any options in their conversations regarding to joining).
I mean, I did not want to become a guard, since they were bullies, so I settled with the shadow status. Am I screwed now?

For now you'll have to be content with your ex-shadow status and armor. Continue with the story and see what will happen...

I suppose you completed the "Test of confidence" or whatever its called where you go into the old mine and get a letter for Gomez?
If you didnt, do that, but give the letter to one of the new campers instead, I know I did so once as a shadow, but if you allready did that quest and for the old camp, well I donnu. |

If you're already a Shadow, then you're next armor upgrade would come from becoming either a Guard or a Mage. |

He's already in chapter 4, so no guard/fire mage for him anymore.

Right, and of course, I saved over my last save in Chapter 3... sigh...
Anyway, thanks for the hint Jaz, it seems all is not lost for armor then, even if the game won't let me join the new camp as a shadow?
I tried to go to the new mine but got my ass handed to me by Jackal (I made mean enough damage to him, but I couldn't take many hits from him and his guards).
Anyway, I've just bought a bunch of ice scrolls to kick the fire golem's butt at Xardas place... we'll see what happens after that, I guess.
Then I read in the FAQ that I should get the best 1H weapon in the game from Scar... and this is in the first paragraph under Chapter 4... now how the hell is that possible, isn't he inside the old camp?

Hm, I wonder why Lee won't accept you as a merc in chapter 4, but better armor should come your way.

What about Scar... was the FAQ messed up or is he still around with that mean 1H weapon somewhere?

He's still around, and you'll have a chance to meet him in chapter 5, just as TheCleric said.
