First off this is my third time through the game and I can't take on large amounts of creatures, not due to life constraints but due to the fact that if a wolf, orc dog, or other leaping creatures actually leap at me the game crashes to the desk top, WTF! Also if I get in a fight with minecrawlers or harpies who get behind me the same thing happens. Anyone have the same prob. I just reload, it takes a few seconds and that will be it so no biggie, it just ruins the moment. Just wondering,

There was a thread dedicated to a similar problem:

Perhaps you'll find more topics which might be of help by using the 'search' function (see top of page).

Dozens of threads.
Change your sound provider to DirectSound HW and disable reverb.

Thas is debatable, there are many people (including me) that report better stability and very good speed with XP.

My landlord solved that problem by going from Win2K to XP as well, he finished with no problems. I've had no problems with Gothic and Win2K myself.
