I have the key to the chest in the goblin city..I need help!

Ok i got the goblin key from under the goblin who lost for the king... i pulled the lever for the secret passage to the restricted area, the chest wont take that key...Is that the key i need? Also i think iam using the key correctly by double ckicking on that key in my inventory and then clicking on the chest....please give me all the help you can.
