Here's two secrets I bet not many of you have found:

1) That locked side door in Stone's Smithy? It's possible go through it. Just transform into a meatbug, crawl into the door as far as you can go, and press enter. Odds are you'll make it to the other side. Inside is a tiny room with two locked chests. I'll let you discover their contents...

2) Here's another secret area, one that requires a load. There's a barred section of the mine, where you picked up your very first pickaxe. If you do the meatbug transform as mentioned above, you can make it through. Explore a bit inside, and a new area will load, complete with a new loading screen. Again, I'll leave you to explore what's inside.

Enjoy!

That's what everybody sees in there. It's a cut level that didn't make it to the release of the game.

And don't worry about the door next to Skip. Everything in there's junk, just a few cheap skins and weak weapons.

Then just avoid fighting. You cane come pretty far without fighting. Or wait until you find/get a bow, it will make things a lot easier without having to resort to a cheat.

Yes that is true but if you finish all quests you can in chapter 1 (without fighting), and if you will use your exp. points for useful things. You will be much stronger then.
You will have
- more hit points
- higher strenght or dexterity
- more skills with sword or bow
- better armor (even diggers trousers make difference)
- better weapon

Another secret:
If you find Gilbert the hermit you'll be awarded with 100xp. He's hiding not far from the south gate of the old camp
When you exit the south gate go right (west on the map), past the cave where you found nek the guard. It's about a 1 min run or so. It's between nek's cave and the 2 guards who'll warn you against the orcs.
His cave isn't on ground level though. You find some 'rock-steps' and if you climb up you'll see his "hidden" cave

Go to the orc ruins, near the mountain fort where u meet your first golem.

walk towards the right path of the ruins as your walking away from thebridge. an he wall infront of you theres a switch, when the press it the ground caves in, you get to fight another golem and get a couple of potions, you get out by wlaking to the other side of this room, and you see 2 pillers, press your use item combo.
