Questions.. after finishing the Game (Spoiler!)

Well i just ended the game.. 3 minute ago.. Great Great game! Though i felt the ending was a bit predictable..

I knew Xardas had his role in the end, but i hope he wont be "my" enemy in Gothic 3, i like him too much to kill him..

The only thing i felt was "bad" was the undead-dragon.. i mean.. i hit him 3 times and he had 60-70% life left, but did some good damage blows on me so i just went back a bit to heal myself.. but as i tried to find the death-blow or something like that with 500 in damage i pushed the wrong button and i summoned a demon.. THE DEMON, kicked his ass!!! funny but hilarious because i didnt do anything (almost).. and kind of disapointing

I was lvl40 when i ended the game and without the amulet of strength i had 147 in strength.. and near 700 in life so i was pretty good..

so some questions:

MAIN question: What was the dragon talking about? "You know who i am",.... ?? What? My father?? hehe.. this was irritating! Who was he and why did "I" in the game know, but not "I" infront of the pc-screen!?`

2) I killed the guy Mario when i found out lester had some worries about him.. and he was right.. anyway. what would have happend if i didnt kill him?

3)if it wasnt for the guy you meet up infront of the monostary, and later ends up as my captain, could i get Jack to be my captain and would it be a difference?

4) the guy who sells stuff near the "entrance" to the castle in the old colony.. he disappeared he said, but where and where was his crossbow?
-was this the dragon crossbow? i didnt find it... where was it?

im sure there some other things i want to know but i just have to get over the "ending" and dygest it first

Great game!

Well, you DON'T even know who you are (i.e. the hero himself). First, "search within yourself, fool," (actual quote from the dragon) then ask this question again.

No. You can pick Jack, Torlof and Jorgen. It won't make much difference, however.

Sengrath's corpse is located slightly east from the castle. There will be an orc elite standing on his corpse.

No. It's a normal militia crossbow with Sengrath's name on it.

I don't think you can "digest" it until the sequel of G2 comes out.

thanks for the answering and the spelling-correction

about the first question the dragon was talking about "me".. because i thought he ment that i should know who he was.

about the dragon crossbow, where could ive found that?

I just renembered that i met "harsh-nar" or whats his name again from Gothic 1, watching while a bunch of orcs are attacking one of the ore-mines.. i was about to kill him when i saw he didnt attack me.. then i saw who he was and talked to him.. i said he wanted to talk to the orc-leader shaman but i had already killed him

- but what if i hadnt killed him.. was that the only option or what could have happend?

- i didnt meet "hasnar" (as i want to call him here and now) when i left.. ive heard he was standing in the orc camp just outside nort of the castle.. could ive talked to him more? anything interesting?

I think the dragon is talking to the hero, not the player. You know, the poor dragon may not know that the hero is actually controlled by a player through a computer.

From my understanding, the dragon is mocking the hero. The hero doesn't know who he was. Even the hero's name remains a mystery. So, is it necessary for the dragon to reveal its identity?

Dragon Hunter's Crossbows can be purchased from Bosper, a hunting master in the city, and from Khaled, a weapon merchant at Onar's farm. The crossbow is not guild-specific; any paladins, dragon hunters and mages can purchase the bow.

Sengrath's Crossbow can be found from Sengrath, who is slain during your second visit to the Valley of Mines. As I said, you'll see an orc elite standing on his corpse slightly east from the castle. The following map will probably help you:

Green Dot: Castle
Blue Dot: Sengrath and his bow
Cyan Dot: Hosh Pak and his horde of orc warriors

That's the only option. Hosh Pak is ALWAYS hostile at you. If you don't killed him, you can't inform Ur Shak about Hosh Pak's existance.

Just to clear things up: Hosh Pak is the orc shaman you're about to kill (Paladin quest, given by Parcival). Ur Shak, your good old orc friend, is the orc shaman who's staring at Fajeth's ore mine.

Hosh Pak's position is marked with a cyan dot in my previous map. You can't have any interesting conversation with him as he'll immediately become hostile at you when he sees you. By the way, you said you've killed him, but you haven't met him. Sounds contradictive to me.

no i didnt kill ur-shak. it was horsh-pak i was refering too.. i didnt meet ur-shak after he left me in fajeths mine.. he told me to go over the pass..

so he just attacks you if you meet him later? thats... irritating, ur-shak is also one of the "cool" guys from gothic 1..
can you kill him? anything valuable on him ?

I was talking about Hosh-Pak, who'll be hostile at you.

No. Ur-Shak will not attack you no matter what. Ur-Shak gets angry when he's notified that you've killed Hosh-Pak, but Ur-Shak will just stand there and do nothing.

Other than experience and the guilt for murdering your friend, you won't have much advantage when you kill him. I would rather leave him as the only surviving orc in the Valley of Mines.

Seems to me that you're confused between Hosh-Pak and Ur-Shak. You found Ur-Shak. He's staring at Fajeth's mine. Hosh-Pak is ANOTHER orc shaman whose tent is marked with a cyan dot in my previous map. Go there and kill him.

i killed the orc-shaman but i didnt kill out good "orc friend" i just thought you said that our "orc friend" would attack me if i met him later on where i killed the orc-shaman... but fortunatly, he dont.. and i didnt meet him later so i just wondered if he said anything..

one more thing:

I found a skin or something on a dead convict in the ore-cave guarded by marcos.. i dont know what happend to them but he had a skin with a name graved into it.. Tilbots or something.. is this a quest?

After Hosh-Pak is slain:
  1. Talk to Ur-Shak, our good "orc friend". Inform him about Hosh-Pak's death.
  2. Ur-Shak, our "orc friend", will go to Hosh-Pak's tent and mourns for his elder's death.
  3. Go to Hosh-Pak's tent, and talk to Ur-Shak again
  4. Ur-Shak is informed that it is YOU who murdered his elder. He is extremely angry and claims that he'll treat all humans as enemies. He won't talk to you anymore.

You'll gain a few experience points after you follow the steps I outlined above.

Just read your very first post. You were referring Ur-Shak, our good old friend, as "Harsh-Nar". No wonder that we all got confused.

He's a hunter, not a convict. Remember in Chapter 2? You met two hunters who were sitting calmly beside the swamp area. They are Talbin and his introverted partner, Ehnim.

When you advance into the later chapters (i.e. Ch 4 and beyond), Ehnim has some strange thoughts in his mind and is wandering around the swamp. As a mage, you'll reveal his thoughts and need to encounter him. However, as a paladin or a dragon hunter, you'll find him already dead, lying around Marcos' cave. He's probably killed by Marcos and his escorts.

I believe you found the two hunters before. If not, just swim eastward on the river. When you see a ramp on your left, get up the ramp. You'll see them at the top of the ramp.

Yes, go back to Talbin and give the lurker heart to him. He'll flee away. Wait a moment, and teleport back to the pass. You'll see him waiting for you at the entrance. Talk to him and let him follow you through the pass.

Once you enter the "new world", go back to the paladins' gate. You'll see Talbin. Talk to him again. Quest done.

P.S. Congratulations for spelling a name correctly: Marcos.

Actually, can't Dragon Hunters also get that mission?

And I believe it's Oric, not Parcival. Parcival just says "Ahh, leave me alone!" as his final game-dialog for chapters 4-6.

There's an option "need any help?" when you talk to Oric, I haven't clicked it yet, but I remember in my previous 2 sessions (Paladink, Fire Mage) it was the Hosh-Pak killing mission.

Yes. The mission is for everyone. I got the words mixed up.

Yes. Thanks for your notification, and I'm sorry as I also get confused between the two paladins. *recalls stuff* Oric is the dragon whereabout advisor and the quest giver; Parcival is the one who killed me after I opened the gate ...

*goes back to reality*

So, the "proper" way to say it is "Quest, given by Paladin Oric." I wouldn't bother to edit the post, as I think Chiefo has already done his quest.

Thanks again.
