after several hours of gameplay ive decided that there is no shields in this game? or am i wrong??

Believe me You were not the only one surprised by that. In Gothic1 half the game I was wondering where the hell are they and maybe then I first opened manual to see that nothing about shields is present. So basicly YOU ARE RIGHT.

geee...and what the hell will i do with my second hand when i train only with one handed weapons..i could try mastb...ehehe sorry..im very suprised! thanks for quick response.

Have you seen the size of those Orc weapons, lets face it a shield is just extra baggage you don't need when running awa.. er strategically withdrawing from the enemy.

Also I get the feeling the inspiration for the combat in both Gothics is of dueling society where shields are slightly out of place. It would have been nice to have seen daggers in the offhand, but i guess there is only so many combinations you can do with forward, back, left, right and the left mouse button.
