Just saw the stats screen from this game, which brings the question: Why do you need AP when the battles are in real time? _________________ Money - An article which may be used as a universal passport to everywhere except heaven, and as a universal provider of everything except happiness. |

Possibly the time between your turns is dependant on your action points. Fallout Tactics worked that way in real time.
I hope theres an option for turn based (or at least interuptable real time). _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

I didn’t even know you could play in real time. I think I’ve heard there supposed to be an option to switch from one to another mode, but it never occurred to me play in RT. _________________ Money - An article which may be used as a universal passport to everywhere except heaven, and as a universal provider of everything except happiness. |

I've followed Lionheart fairly closely so...
- AP roughly translate to your speed in combat. A higher number of AP means you might complete two attacks instead of just the one in a "round" for example. The FOT analogy is pretty accurate.
- There is definitely no TB option.
- Reflexive are play-testing different RT combat combinations but the desire/intent was to be completely RT. Recently it was decided a limited pause would be implemented for things like inventory access, aimed shots (magic selection?) and so on...so combat is real time with a pause for certain actions only. |

So will I. I much prefer turn based or staggered time combat over real time. Oh well... _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

I agree with the other turn-based fans. Real-time is okay for single player crpgs, but I like thinking and planning way more than twitching. Turn-based games are getting rarer and rarer. _________________ 'nut |

Turn-based is horrible IMO. Takes too much unnecessary focus and time into combat, gives an feeling of unreality AND is often easily exploitable (Fallout).
Real time ALL the way for me, except for party games... there we need pausable combat. _________________ Like some bold seer in a trance;
