It is not ending, it is begining of Gohtic 2. When you take it like that, then...

The ending was impressive enough to warrant several threads... impressive in the sense of evoking emotions...

Must we really get into this again?

Hey after all the difficulty getting to the end of the game. I thought it was rather ingenious to subdue the sleeper. I did enjoy the ending I was just hoping I didn't burn up before killin last heart

I agree Quedmar, but there are quite a few people who seem to base the success or failure of any game's ending on the length of the end scene.

Not quite . But then again... well.. Deus Ex was one of the few games to satisfy my need for an ending, and yet it didn't satisfy many other people. Must be a quite individual thing...

Sleeper is the most pathetic creature I've seen before, but I still loved the ending.

About Deus Ex,that game I guess it was created special for me,I finish it so many times(and still counting),in all the possible ways,I've rescued Smuggler from his death,I've rescued Paul,Jock, too bad you can't choose to fight with Unatco and MJ12.
Now I wait DeusEx 2,oh,I just can't wait!

You know, It's kinda funny, I never really thought that much about a games ending. I mean, I've never really been wildly concerned about how a game was going to end. Playing the game is the fun part, isn't it?

I never played Deus Ex, so I can't say about the end. But tons of people said the same kind of things about the ending of "Alice", which I thought was lovely!

I think I just got tired of this thread starting over and over. It's especially frustrating that very few people can express (you Jaz, Val and LonePaladin being very conspicuous exceptions) what is wrong with the ending of Gothic other than it "sucksss"!

I guess I really should get over it, I'm in the dwindled masses on this one anyway.

'Kay, promise to self, when this thread starts again for about the 20th time, I'll just ignore it! Yep, that's just what I'll do!

Sure, sure you will. We all know you'll just post as anonymous. j/k

I guess Gothic is just a great book that's missing the last chapter and we're all pulling our hair out in frustration over not knowing how the story ends. Hopefully we'll get our happy ending in Gothic 2.

I don't post nony on purpose! It doesn't matter anyway, everyone still seems to know it's me!

I'm more concerned that I have zero willpower. So, as soon as someone posts a new thread just like this one, I'll be in it, raving like a loony again.
