Hi all,
While I know that I don't *have* to kill the lich to get through Akbaa's temple, is it possible for me to continue the ritual murder quest without having the 3rd meteor? I ask since when I return to the castle (with just 2 stones - leaving the other in the lich's chest since I'm still rather weedy), I get no useful comments from anyone.
Do I have to stroll around picking up XP until I can kill the lick and take the 3rd meteor before the castle folk will help me????

Sorry, but you have to have that stone to finish the game. If you can't kill him then yes, get some xps and come back. He can be the last one if need be, the order you find them is not important. But you need all five to end the game. Try spells and other combos to kill lich, you will find many suggestions in this forum for ways to do them in. Good Luck. Hope this helps.

Hi cmckj50,
Thanks for your reply. However I know that I need all 5 meteors to finish the game. My question is: is the reason that Felnor will not speak to me about the Krahoz and the Zohark (for example) because I have returned from the temple with only 2 of the 3 meteors? Do I need all 3 from the temple before he will do this and Chinkashh gives me a book about them, etc.
Hoping you can help again!

Yes, I'm pretty sure that is it, however I need to know how far into the quests you are. Have you saved Shanny, given the book to Greu, and had the council meeting room cut sceen? Let me know this and I can answer you better.

I didn't have three meteors in my inventory then (the lich was too tough for me at the beginning, I scooped up the third meteor during my second tour of the temple) and I could continue with the ritual murder quest.
Did you touch the big meteor in the temple? With your hands/mouse pointer, I mean.

Thanks all you guys for your help!
My problem was (as was suggested above) that I hadn't *tried* to destroy/touch the meteor. When I did, I got the info I needed back in Arx.
As it happens, I killed the level 2 lich soon after (again with help from here). What would I do without this board!!???
