Okay, I'm on my third character and was doing farely well. I have advanced to level 8. I have a few questions.
1. I am looking for the rune called Cosum (object). Also communication.
2. What does Fridd do? I surprised myself and took out a wall but don't remember how.
3. I have had some things just dissapear from my inventory. The worst is one of the Akbaa Rocks and the Oliver's Treasure book. If I can't find the rock I will have to start over.
Any ideas or has anyone else asked these questions?
Thanks for any help or advice. |

1. Communicatum is level 2 room 19. The is one of those sections in the Ice caves. Cosum is level 2 room 34 and also 40. 34 is the Golem room. There is a second rune in there as well, but you have to kill him to get them. Room 40 is secret room in one of the priests bedrooms. Check walls for button.
2. Fridd is for freezing stuff. But I don't think you knocked down a wall with it unless you used an ice projectile and it worked. I never tried that, I always carry a pickaxe.
3. Akbaa stone is big problem. Did you download and install the patch? That is only reason for disappearing. Are you using the bone cheat? Some people had inventory trouble with it. I personally had a bad habit of dropping stuff out of my inventory during battles when I would try to change weapons, use other stuff in my inventory or while casting spells. I would somehow grab an item and send it flying and often didn't know it, depending on the intensity of the battle and the noise. Go back to spots you did battles and search high and low. The stuff is sometimes in what I call pixil limbo and you can only find it if you hover the mouse over it. It can be in the walls, floors, ceilings, anywhere. In the meantime, send an email to Julian Roby, address in the tech, support thread, and ask for a stone to put in inventory. If you find yours great, and hopefully he will send one in a few days. He has done it for others. The book you lost is not needed to do the quest. When you find the first clue, you just follow them, nothing in or about book for the quest.
Hope this helps, and hope you have a save game so if you start over it is not too far back.
P.S. Maybe it's time to start new thread if not about snake ladies. We have really let this one go everywhere. Harder for others to find help to their questions. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Thanks for the help again. I do have communication now but not cosum. I wanted to be able to cast invisiblity before going where the lich and golem aree and forgot about a possible rune in that area.
I don't know what happened in my inventory. It was there then not and I hadn't done anything but move a few small pieces. I do have the patch installed and am not using the cheat this time. Looks like another do over but I'm getting tired of that.
I hope the company is still working on this game and come out with a better version. It is really fun and diversable. I appreciate all you help as always and thanks again. |

Do like I said and send Julien an email for the stone or stones you lost. It can't hurt, and you can cont to play for a day or so and see if he sends them to you. It's worth a try. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

I have seen others do it and have had to wait for three or four days. If you don't get answer, send message to Garrett on tech thread. He may have some pull. I sure hope they help soon. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

As soon as you replied so did he. He hasn't been at the studio but will try to help me out Friday. Thanks so much and it felt really strange talking to someone involved in the game. Are you in that group too? |

No I just had trouble when first installed, and then during the game the first time I played so I found this board and got all the help I needed. After playing the game nine times from start to end, and I don't know how many times I restarted for one reason or another, I just wanted to help others like they helped me. Have fun when you get yours fixed. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Thanks and I think this is going to be one of my favorite games. Thief is still number one. It is similiar but different at the same time. Fun to switch back and forth. The're both set in Medivial times and I do prefer that to the modern day shooters etc. I'll let you know when I hear from Julian. |

It's been a while since I posted but I did hear from Julian with instructions. I'm not sure I want to try it as it sounds confusing and I don't know much about computers. I just went back to an earlier save where I had both Meteors. I also noticed the book about the Oliver Treasure Hunt is missing. Can I still complete quest without it? Thanks |

Yes this is one that you can finish even if you miss a clue. Don't worry about this one. Did I ask you before if you installed the patch? This is very buggy game without it and inventory missing is a big one. If not, you can install even with a current game. I'm with you on computer stuff, I'd rather start over than mess with the computer files. Hope you get it all worked out. If you ever make it through the game, I suggest you delete it and reinstall if you want to play again. Not sure you don't have a bug or two in there. I had to do it first time I played, but I wasn't very far into the game. Good luck. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=
