Im becoming disillusioned about this game. My first few hours with it and after the installation, there are stuttering problems with the sound. I can go in and play without the sound, but somehow feel cheated when I do that.
Without any response from official tech support for the last 24 hours I am getting more and more inclined to return this game to where it came from. |

We have no use of this information unless you provide us with:
* The name of your soundcard
* The name of your graphics card
* The name of your Operating System
* The amount of physical memory you have
* The number of Mhz your processor is in
Best Regards

Don't give up. It's a fascinating game once you are past the rank novice stage.
You can approach the authors direct, or post to the Troubleshooting Forum.
Have you got the sound on a setting too good for your card?

That soundcard pass my knowledge of soundcards... I personally use a Audigy card, and a tool called "SoundFX 2000" for DOS games.

As said before dont run a Win9x system with more than 512mb ram as the system will slow down alot.. Use Windows 2000/XP, or remove one of your memory strips (smaller one preferbly) and try again, and watch the difference |

But it doesnt add Memory Protection in Windows 98/ME.

That sets the amount of RAM that widows will utilize. Set to 256kb, it works fine. Other applications can still utilize 100% available RAM. |

Even Taking out the xtra 128mb RAM, it does not stop the stuttering, so that issue is useless to discuss any longer. Any more ideas?
PS: 48hrs, no tech spt reply to email. |

Reinstall your soundcard drivers?
Reinstall DirectX 8.1?
Buy a new Soundcard, Audigy OEM near me is £29.
I have no idea, but in my past experiences with any game if the sound stutters its because the GFX card is being heavily used beyond capabilities, try lowering the resolution, set to a lesser draw percentage, Less Model texture..
But im sure someone will reply to you... |

reinstalled sound card drivers, newest version (same ones I had before)
Reinstalled Vid drvr (same ones I had before)
Reinstalled DX8a (ditto on the same)
Ran 3dmark2001= 2984 without any adjustments
No, its not the video card.
Sound card...dx tests run, all successful.

Yeah but have you tried DX8.1?
DX 8a is a bit buggy itself. |
