NWN: HotU - Bioware Wednesday Updates |
|
It's time for Bioware Wednesday again with a couple of new items available for Hordes of the Underdark. First, there's some "Stormy Skies" screenshots which will be included in a "future Hordes of the Underdark update" (sounds mysterious) and a very handy printable list of all 40 new spells in HotU. |

If an update is coming with new "stuff", why start the game now? Usually savegames are lost when major changes happen. Finish making the game first, then release it. Or maybe a module is coming. Marketing, what's up? I guess I'll wait a while to play HotU. Some games like Divine Divinity were worth waiting for the patches. On the other hand I wouldn't want to wait till the 1'10 patch to play diablo. |

These updates primarily have to do with providing new content to modders and have nothing to do with single-player game. Your save games will be fine, there are a few stats under the hood bugs which will likely be fixed in an upcoming patch, but nothing thats going to drastically change the game.
Keep in mind that although NWN comes with single-player modules most of what is going is player created modules for single and multi-player and multi-player persistent worlds. These "updates" are for those people constructing those mods/worlds. |

There are a few rumors of a possible small expansion to be sold only online. When asked, some Bioware people have stated that they have not ruled out any possibilities at this point. |
