Do I need to start over?

O.K. I got to Xardus and talked to him but I think I have messed up using skill points. I put some into bow and then majic and now I don't have the skills to use the runes he sold me, and I don't have the strength or skill or something to kill the Orc's or Fire Lizards who come in bunches. So far I can't get anywhere to look for the Orc Shaman. Do I need to go back to a time before I went into majic and just stick to weapons for now. I never got two handed training, I started on bow and then majic. Any help would be appreciated. And where is that Shaman anyway? I get lost so easy in this game, I have a bad sense of direction and it all looks the same after a while.

If you wanna learn magic and be good at it, then you need to save up some skillpoints before learning it... it's not a good idea to get into magic by spending your only 10 skillpoints and then saving up skillpoints after that... That's what i did, and it only ended up being a disadvantage, because I had spend too many skillpoints on bow and swordfighting before I decided to learn magic.... It's a smart idea to decide wether you want to be a magician or not from the start. A jack-of-all-trades don't do good in this game IMHO. You should go back to before you started using magic and spend some points on strenght and dex, and learn to use 2handed swords....

The shaman is on top of one of the mountains in the orc land.... Do you remember the search for the focus stones where you fight along with Lester in the fort? Before you reach that fort you come across a big ruin.... That's where the shaman is

Start Over

Thanks for the help. I was afraid of you saying that. I'l have to go back to the focus stone stuff and change my ways. I prefer to fight rather than majic this time around anyway. Thanks for clue where to look for guy, at least if I get lost later I can come back here and get the answer. Thanks for quick answer also. Now I have to load a save game and loose a few days work.
