Great game but poor patches

This is clearly a great game that is a lot of fun.

However, I can't believe the lack of patches for fixing problems. There are so many things ranging from being able to go into temple and castles even after being warned that the guards will kill me to saving games the y and z key are reversed.

I've enjoyed this game so much that I don't want to whine about the bugs. However, I've never played a game of this quality where the developers have not even attempted to fix some of the content bugs after the game was released. The 1.08k patch appears to only fix video driver issues-no content fixes.

what do you think?

I think, who cares cause I beat the game with out any game stopping bugs, and now I can sit back and wait for Gothic 2.

For what it's worth, I agree wholeheartedly..

I have had experiences in the past, with other games, other developers, other distributors, etc. ... Many of those games had great tech support, constant patching to improve game quality/balance units (See Kohan, by TimeGate Studios), and even 'official' sites operated by the developers themselves to get user feedback and/or suggestions.

I'm not sure about the popularity of Gothic, though. In order for a company to be able to do/afford those things, they have to make money..so, unless the Gothic team did well financially from the release of this great game, I can't really fault them for their lack of patching..

I still say it's a great game..mostly minor bugs and issues!

Since here must be some code skilled posters and some has mentioned about mod makings, i think we could see some innovated things quite soon, well i might be just dreaming, but there is always some hope...
