SWG: Jedi Revamp Discussion & Details

Kurt "Thunderheart" Stangl, Assistant Community Relations Manager for 'Star Wars: Galaxies', has made a <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=30183#M30183" target="_blank">post</a> about the upcoming Jedi revamp to the official forums. It's a 1:1 copy of the In-Development Update we reported about yesterday (<a href="http://www.rpgdot.com/index.php?hsaction=10077&newsid=27512">story</a>). The post is a questionable basis for discussion as it is so vague and confusing that it can't be discussed unless a few pressing questions are answered first. Luckily Thunderheart followed up with a <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=30265#M30265" target="_blank">second post</a> in which he answered a few important questions. There is a potential "bomb" in there for people who are currently working towards unlocking their force-senstitive character slot. It looks like there will be no recognition of player efforts as soon as the current method for unlocking is disabled. It sounds like people who haven't unlocked before the changes go live will have to start all over from scratch with the new quest-based system.

"Play thru"

Does not mean no recognition. Play thru in golf means you pass up or skip something. The holo grinders will get to pass thru some of the quests, meaning skip them

Hardly no recognition

Well, not sure if Thunderheart is a golfer but doesn't matter anyway as he has followed up on his blurb this Monday saying that there will indeed be some form of compensation depending on the number of professions you have mastered (which was not clear from the original statement at all as a quick glance at the Jedi forums pre-Monday showed).
