Dark and Light: SoG Registration Closed @ Official Site

It seems that anticipation for Dark and Light is off the scale. As quickly as it was announced registration for Settlers of Ganareth has closed. Here's the official word:
We are sorry, but there are no more spaces left for the first wave of Settlers.

A new wave of subscriptions will soon be announced on the Dark and Light website.

We hope to see you soon, Izirgandar won't forget you!

My PC is synchronized with the United States Naval Observatory Master Clock system and I recieved the "cannot register yet" message 1 minute before the advertised time and the "we are sorry, all slots filled" message 1 minute after.

Yea, its kinda crappy because I got an email not long ago saying I was guaranteed a spot. Doesn't matter though, I haven't heard anything good about the game anyway and I doubt I'd have much time to test stuff out with my work schedule, while also still heavily playing WoW. There is just such a lack of anything new coming on the market as far as fantasy mmorpg's go (with dnd online being crappy and all others a long way off) that it doesn't surprise me that they had a good turnout. I believe if I read it right, they had 10,000 slots, however 8888 of those went to the people who paid already (yay pay to play betas), leaving very few for those that didn't pay.
