Hello
I love RPGs and my favorite have been the Baldurs Gates but im getting Gothic cos it looks cool and 3d. I was just wondering about the character development and how it works..hoping its not realy lame like vampire but more like the black isle games..also if there ne thing u think is realy cool about Gothic leave a reply cos im intersted

Well Gothic that game NEEDs to be a game of the year cos its real cool one. There is rain sometimes there is night and day and all that kind of things there is even the time  . that game is really realistic and the story is real cool. But if you buy it you need to learn the controls first time i played it i didnt even know how to move or get some items  but in 3-4 hours i learned how to move and that kind of things . i would say only to you GO GO GO GET THAT GAME WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!! |

Character development is a simplified version of the black isle games. However, is is a bit more free. You can be a melee fighter and learn some thieving skills at any time. Anyone can cast spells using scrolls. Mages can use swords and bows. And you can even be a fighter mage if you join the sect camp. I was hooked on Black Isle games myself, but this is far better than the best of those. I love FPS games too...I got sick of controlling a huge party of people in Black isle RPGs (pause, issue orders, repeat, repeat, repeat) and sick of how little story there is in some of the best FPS games. This is the perfect combination of interactive RPG and 3d action. I love it.
