My computer is almost identical to yours (PIII, 450 mhz). The only difference is the video card. I have a 32mb Radeon. I don't know what my frame rates are and I don't really care. My frame rates never drop to a slide show except at the entrance to a few buildings so they're fast enough for me. Maybe you can get away with simple video card upgrade.

What a bullshit. I play on a similar pc, with similar fps. And I love it. If you cant stand 13 fps, and throw away MW, you are not the fan you claim to be. |

My FPS is now 20 almost everywhere and its kick a**. My god! Morrowind is the best! Amazing?!!! RADICALLY AMAZING!!!!!!

Firstly, he would notice a huge drop in framerates when put against the properly optimized XBox. Secondly, 10-14 FPS is not good. If you think so... then... I can't argue that... {*excuse me while I get upwards of 70 FPS on my other games*} Not only would the physical performance be horrendous, but also, he states that it has, "ran dry;" now, if plug-ins did what they should: add great heaps of new content, he'd be fine in that respect, but so far as I have seen virtually none of the plug-ins add a long, game refreshing environment, warranting the pain of such a low FPS.
Beatcow, refrain from doing that again, please?

do what I did.
I bought a :
Antec 1040 w/400watt
Volcano 7+ HSF
Athlon XP 1800+
Gigabyte 7VXR
512mb PC2100 DDR RAM
I already had:
Geforce 3 Ti500.(i recommend GeForce 4 ti4200 now)
I dont ever go under 15 fps...I average:
20-30 in town
50-80 outdoor
100-140 indoor
You wont spend more than 800 or so
