I'm at the first chapter, I'd like to join the Old camp and to be a mage.
But I've got 2 problems:
- I can't use magic at the beginning, so how must I spend my points so as not to waste them? Can I, for example, put them in Strengh and 1h weapon, until chapter 2 when I can use magic?
- Diego don't seem to want me to join his camp: I learned something from fingers, did the Whistler quest, did the faith quest, did sly quest, did the dexter quest, And I'm totaly unable to beat Kirgo in the arena... Diego say that it's not too bad for a new one, but that's all... ???

(And something else, How do dext and strengh affect a combat? Is it only important for the weapon you can have?)

Fight Kareem even though you will loose, then talk to (scatty?), I forget the name of the guy that runs the fighting arena, then go talk to Thorus.

Yes, you will have enough exp. points. You can f. e. be master of bow with enough dext. and 6th circle magician with enough max. mana points.

If you ask Diego about your esteem in camp he will tell you what you need to do. This arena quest - if you will choose right one (fighter from New camp) and you will fight with hem, it will impress leader of arena even if you lose, because he hates New camp

Dext. improves your skills with bow/crossbow.
Str. improves your skills with melee weapons. Though that you can learn from certain people how to "be better with certain weapon".
When you start you are untrained in everything, but you can learn more (pay with exp. points and sometime with ore) and become trained or master. It will also help alot.

Oh, and str. adds to your damage, dex makes you more accurate with a bow.
side note. dex does not help you with swords, that is a common newbie misconception.

From the french newbie:
Thanks, I'll see if Diego accept me after fighting the arena fighter from the new camp.

one more quest to do: bother thorus long enough to make him give you the quest to get rid of mordrag.
this isnt really necessary, you can fail (or simply not accept) one of the possible quests and they will still take you.
