Construction Kit Help

Whenever I try to load any data files from Morrowind or Tribunal on the COnstruction Kit, it says some strange warning and says click yes to continue or something and the files don't come up.

Can you explain to me how you build the outside and inside of houses and forts and stuff, cause I want to build my own fort or town. Also, tell me how to move around while your building cause when I use the arrow keys it moves to a spot far away from where I just was and I need to know a way to move shorter distances.

The construction set is a bit like Lego(TM). You have a large library of different pieces, and you just plug them together to construct your little world.

Find a location for your fort or whatever, and look through the "Static" list for useful parts. Drag and drop them into the world to see what they look like, and when you find bits you want to use, put them in place.

Inside places are created as new areas - there's a menu item like "Areas..." or something from which you click "New" and give it a name. Then, as before, go through the statics list and find the pieces you want to use. Remember than this time the player will be walking around the *inside* of the blocks.

Moving around is really easy, as long as you think in 3D. I believe the techniques are to do with moving the mouse while holding down a button, with and without having an item selected. I can't be sure, as I just "do it" - I can't remember what the exact functionality is as it just comes naturally after a while of playing.

If you want to start somewhere, I recommend picking something like the Moonmoth Legion Fort and just pulling it apart to see how outside areas are constructed. Pick an interesting inside area like the Andrano Ancestral Tomb to learn how internal areas are constructed.
