MAGE THIEF...is STrength at all necessary? |
|
IM totally confused! If i wann be a thief mage, then all i need is dex, and man right? strength is only for weapons...If i use crossbow, getting training in it makes it more accurate, but dex makes it hit harder? i don't understand? _________________ "Frankly my dear, i don't give a damn" |

You do want a backup cause you might run out of mana. Learn str ptions and bring yourself up to say 65 so you can use like orc slayer.
Dex with bows and xbows allows you to shoot more accurately, and also faster, and deal more damage with a critical hit. Like you aimed really well and got a real sensitive spot. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

If orc slayer is say 65 damag and another weapon is say 80, will orc slayer
deal out more damage when usedon orcs because of magic abilities
(programmers) or is it just the name of the weapon??? _________________ "Frankly my dear, i don't give a damn" |

Just a name. Too bad huh? I think the torturer's axe and one other 1H weapon also do 65 for 65 strength. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

well strenght is not necessary if you get "master sword" (boss of the thief guild has one) ..it requires 65 dex ..no strength damage is 65 also _________________ They eat to live.... I live to eat... |

I forgot about the master sword. You just won't get as much on critical hits. There's a bug that adds str instead of dex to critical hits for dex based swords. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

Well, I was a thief mage. If you nearly always get mana and only a few spells you won't need strength. _________________ http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?megadav!count |

I was thif mage too ... I even couldn't raise my strenght.. never had enough experience.. even I killed orcs around the castle two times .. (Fisrt time you go there to see ore mines you kill all of them,... then you come again to kill dragons ...there will be orcs surrounding again ...more experience and I killed almos all creatures in both worlds ...I used my experience to dex and runes and mana and alchemy (made my own mana potions) _________________ They eat to live....
