I have seen comments here and there about the AI (or lack thereof) in Gothic, I would like to solicit opinions. First let me say something that we should all think about - that I haven't heard anybody say on this board or any other when discussing AI of games. We all tend to say we want really great AI - but think about it. How great do you REALLY want the AI to be? If it is too good (very human like for instance), the game would likely not be very playable for many, many people. How ARE you going to steal enough items in a game or kill enough people (without them all ganging up on you) with REAL AI? Just something to think about. Now, with that said, what do you really think you want to see in a game - that will still be playable by most people?
