I downloaded and installed this in one of my many efforts to make MW playable (it's not too bad after 2 days of 'optimizing' (translation "Try this, reboot, test, repeat x 48hours)).
Do I continue to play WITH the cd in the drive or do I take the cd out? Someone else posted something that made me think once it was patched, the cd wasnt' necessary, but it tells me to put the cd in when I try to run the no-cd .exe.
And remember, I'm not technical, I've just absorbed a few things from 15+ yrs of computer gaming and living with a computer dweeb.

I believe you need to have the cd inserted when booting the game. After that it aint matters. |
