I agree with that thing about it only being a game if someone killed kids but some dumb politically corresct people would disagree. I remember that kid in DE he lipped me off so i knocked him out and threw him in a lake. see i so that in games and i don't do it in real life.....or would I? Muwahahahahahahahah!!!

no kids.... wow. thats deep, ladies and gents. a programmer probably doesn't even think about that whilst programming...its a bit too much, don't ya think. it would drive a man insane thinking up details for this game...and it probably has..oh, Bethesda.lol

I don't mis the kids in morrowind.
They are not their, so what.

Maybe the clif racers eat them all.

Why can't the stupid cliff racers eat themselves instead?!

Anyhow.. Kids would add some variety to the endless hordes of npc clones in Morrowind. That's why I miss them. Also, variety is good for a game. Why do you think Bethesda put in 12351432534 spoons and red clay pots and empty papers everywhere? Ok, bad example.. But.. uh.. I lost my thread here. Someone pick up on it!

The more variety in a game the longer it takes to make the game.
If you want 100% realisme it would take forever to make the game.
Of course stuf looks the same, what size would the game have if there was more variety.

I just had to be a smartass, and find this out.
There are exactly 730 spoons in the world, as show up in the editor.
Uh, and 0 bathrooms, interestingly enough. Even the enterprise had 2 bathrooms.

The dont even have running water.
Middle age house did not have bathrooms either.
But the had kitchens. Maybe a big bucket for bathing and that was it.

Do you really mis it?

In Fallout2 you could kill children. And if you did, you got "Child Killer" perk. Which means you got attacked on sight by anybody and anyone capable of doing so. There were also few quests in Fallout2 that required a child to complete.

Interestingly enough, people from Britain kept flooding the message boards with questions like "where is such and such kid?" Turns out, there were no children in their version of Fallout2. Why? Because it is illegal in GB to show violence against children in media (or is it just computer games?). Anyways, BI had to make a special version of the game to be allowed to sell it in GB. And that version had no children in it.

So much for conspiracy and developer lazyness theories...

Naah, realism is not what I am looking for in a game. But details spice up a gaming world. Just look at the npc's in Gothic. First time I saw a guy sit at a fire, drink a beer and then after a few minutes get up to.. uhm.. relieve himself was awesome. Noone NEEDS that in a game, but I am easily impressed and love when developers add stuff like that to a game.. Together with girls in thongs

It sure beats watching npc's walking in circles 24/7.. in rain or storm or sunshine or whatever.

Of course, where would you find child-sized armor?
