You know, there are several different looking kinds of lanterns in Morrowind? Well, it was a dark and foggy night as I traveled towards Hla Oad, my Sword in the right, on the left a blue lantern, illuminating the muddy path through the swamplands. At last I reached the small town, as suddenly the welcoming voice of an inhabitant cut through the night, said the words "The blue ones are nice but I heard the brown ones last longer".

Pretty cool. I wonder what they react to moreover?

this isn't really a reactoin but one time while in balumora i say a nord in the river, thinking it might be a interesstoing quest i jumped in and talk to her.
the first thing she said was hi what can i do for for you(note: her nose and mouth where completely under water) if only i could've asked : for starters you could teach me to breath under water
