Can I become a Mage in any camp???

It seems to me like the Old camp is more "fighter minded", new camp "thief minded" and sect camp "mage minded". Is this so??? Can I be a mage if I join old camp? If so, is a "sect mage" better than a "old camp mage"???

Plz no spoilers, but I am concerned that my "freedom" wil be hampered when I join a camp.

Templars of the Sleeper Sect are fighters. Shadows of the Old Camp seem to be thieves.

Depends on which faction of the camps you join.

Not true.

The Fire Mages are a part of the Old Camp. Thoose guys are REAL mages. So are the Water Mages.

The Sect Camp is dealing with Divine Magic, and if you join them you cannot be a powerful magician. Only a sorceryskilled warrior (kinda like a "Cleric" in D&D).

Believe my words, they are true. If you want to be a mage, dont join the Sect Camp.

Best Regards

in sect camp you get magic straight away
while in other camps you have to wait for a while.
+ sect camp magic is kick ass, sleep is my favourite

Ok then, here's the spoiler

If you join the Sect Camp you can never in the entire game reach Circle 5.
That includes extreme spells like Wave of Ice and Fire Rain.

Then you also cant use Mage-Rune that is required to finish the game (that rune requires Circle 6).
You must use it like a normal warrior instead (face to face, 2h combat), and thats not the point when you want to play mage, is it?

Best Regards

Baals aren't true mages? That sucks.

Well, I wanted to be a Templar, so I joined the sect.

No, they can do divine magic and learn magic quickly, but cannot reach above 4.

Templars are strong fighters, and gives you the best armor of the sects. Normally you are supposed to combine a strong warrior with some magic.
