First person mod...

I've altered the camera system to give a first person view when standing still, running, swimming, or using a bow.

I've left melee combat in third person, as it basically doesn't work in first person... however, in melee combat, you can pull the camera right back for the same kind of panoramic views seen in VisiGothic.

When I've sorted hosting out, I'll make it available.

Can I post screenshots here somehow?

A.

PS: Wasn't Morrowind disappointing

Alistair!
I was beginning to wonder where you went and now I know. Good to see you. And several people will think it's good to see first-person.

To post screenshots you'll need to have them posted on a dedicated server. Either post a link or use the [img] tags.

Ok, mailed you half a dozen shots. Thanks.

I think I'll try and find some server space and host this mod myself, as a bit of a learning experience.

Can anyone recommend a decent, professional, and cheap/free provider? I'll need to host this mod (a few hundred k) and my next full scenario, The Trial, which will be about 50 MB.

Ask RPG.com if they havent contacted you already
I can handle the screenshots for now. I picked the 3 that really showed the mod's best features.
I put them up in here

Cheers. I've now removed the monster names as well, so you don't get a 'Scavenger' label to tell you if something's in range.

Wouldn't that make the game harder?

A little.

It means you actually have to look where you're aiming. You do still get the monster's/person's health bar to tell you that something's in range.

In real life, when you see a giant killer chicken, it does not have its name above its head.

Do giant birds have health bars, or become illuminated upon entering sight?
