A mod kit comes with the add-on. An update plus scripts is available for download. I´m pretty sure the textures can be replaced, but I´m not really up-to-date.

Hey there Byblos,

The downloadable tool "Goman" by Pyrox is great for extracting/importing and exporting files and converting tex' files in several formats targa truevision,
jpg, etc' etc', also Nico Bendlin's Vdfs.exe tool is good for unpacking the VDF
volumes and then (once modified) the vdf file can be rebuilt.
I personally use PaintShop pro, to do almost any kind of graphic tweek, then
a quick copy and paste puts it back, the possibilities, graphically are endless.
The Gothic and G2 tex's are in most cases (human) scaled like for like.

Just recently, and iv'e not yet tried them are new mods available and more on the way, e.g Bumshak, Darkmage, Fightcontest.

Just stumbled over the WoG modding forum.
It´s quite possible that you can replace (or at least extract and convert to .tga) textures with the old G1 tools. At least if all you want to do is replace one texture after the other with a better quality texture of the same name and size. The texture format is identical, I think. You could send HornOx a mail. He should know if this can be done.
