Plug-ins - are they as easy as... |
|
I have never used a plug-in; but have seen them for various games. Can one assume that you just unzip, copy or download the plug-in to the game and then what ever you downloaded, unzipped, etc., will appear in the game. I was looking at a plug-in for Morrowind; but I assume they are all the same. |

Most are that easy, however, in smaller games there is a chance that some will interfere and cause problems... but in Morrowind, the chances of that are slim, so long as you restrain yourself...
If a Morrowind plug-in doesn't work, don't save. _________________ Make good choices. |

Well, modern games like Morrowind are great because they have a *BUILT IN* support for *plugins*. Most of the games do not have this feature.
Games like Morrowind, Never Winter Nights or even Dungeon Siege, were almost completely built to consider this issue. Players want to expand their experience by expanding the reality they play on. Each of them does have a "editor" of some kind that you can use to edit the world you want to play in...
I hope this trend continues to evolve. _________________ =Moderator of General MMORPG talk forum=
