That's a strange little post HiroHito. Would you care to expand on it at all? (Were you suggesting that the Badger lives in the 19th century? Excellent stuff.) Or are you one of these "Trolls" I hear about? in which case, How do you do, I've not really met one of you before.

Just a thought while I am typing again. I note with interest that this here thread has at this moment had a mighty 574 views! (ok, not that mighty)
I wonder if it is because the title is negative? It's not till you open it that you realise (most people realise) that it's for fun.
What do you recon, negative titles more views that possitive titles?

I don't wanna start a flame war, and I'm not a troll, whatever meaning you think it has (Troll comes from MMORPG boards, to troll Prexus board while you play on Bristlebane, for example). I am just tired of all the puritans, the ones that claim to hold the Truth, to worship the right God, to practice the True Religion. This is a game anyway, coming to a board and saying: "OOOOH OMFG OMFG What a load of C***" Because a Greek Mythology inspired religion has shocked you in a game, will not do anything, beside adding more wood to burn the witches, there is already enough Anti games preachers in America, without you and your like. If you respected yourself, you would go out, take a good breath of fresh air, let the wind play with your hair and say to yourself; "Who cares about religion ? God is all around us" and in the present case; "Who cares about a game ? Its just a game afterall". But I guess that you are one of those heirs to the withhunters and heretic-burners, the good doers, the Holy Warriors of the Catholic/Protestant God. Go on, preach your stupidities, if He exists, He must be laughing at you right now.
PS: By the way, Badger, if its not serious, keep it to you and your IRL friends. No one is supposed to understand that you are joking from you earlier posts on this thread. I don't anyway.
PS2: Cronus is Cronos, Cronus in english and Cronos in french, pronounciation differs. And unless you lived in a past life among Herakles and Hera, you prolly dont know which one is correct.

So, you can state your opinions and Badger state his as much as you want, but there is absolutely no reason to be insulting. Am I making myself clear?

HiroHito, I'm not quite sure I understand how you have got the wrong end of the stick here. But you definitely seem to have a Bee in your Bonnet for sure.
I'll try saying it again so you can be in no Doubt. My comments are not meant to be taken seriously or reflect an opinion on any existing religion.
I expressed MOCK outrage at the text in a book I found on a shelf during a mission for the fighters guild. It was meant to be a bit of a giggle. I don't see evidence of anyone else missing the point, and I'm not quite sure why you have.
If you check the end of my original post, you will clearly see that I state, I will "Never" play the game again, then I say just once more.. then I say who am I kidding.. I'll play again tomorrow. You don't understand this is meant as humour?
They say that humour does not always travel well and this being the case I will say again that if my original post offended you, I apologise.
But as far as a flame war goes.. there is no chance of that, because frankly having apologised for any offence twice now, if you stubbornly refuse to see that no harm was intended, then you are obviously over combative and I will simply not reply to your posts.. please feel free to have the last word, but I sincerely hope you see sense. |

Val, thanks for the support, but HiroHito seems to have got the wrong idea here and I hate to think that I might upset anyone on the board.
For the record please let me say in advance that if I ever ruffle anyones feathers with a comment meant to be tongue in cheek, please give me the benefit of the doubt. I would never intetionally write anything hurtful or direspectful of anyones beliefs and I hope that most of the folks who have read my posts up to now realise this.

My message is not solely directed at HiroHito. It's directed at every person who can't seem to speak rationally on message boards. This is a public place, therefore people can speak about anything they like as long as it doesn't break the rules. HiroHito does not have the right to tell people to take their opinions elsewhere. He only has the right to dispute them and to do so with well-reasoned arguements. We ask that everyone act in a mature manner here instead of losing their heads. Discussions can be held without resorting to flaming.
