If you opened the gate in ch 5 the story doesn't change as there is no more to do in VoM except kill critters at that point. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

Okay
Spoiler:
Speak to Brutus after opening the gates and the Orc's invade. He turns into a seeker and you are possessed. You do get 400xp for it and afterward Brutus turns back. He now trys to attack you and is no longer mortal. Kill him and take his book. Black Almanac or something. I opened it and got possessed again. Now go to the monestery to get help and tell Pyrokar. I think you get a few more xps and healed. I tried to kill him before this but I think he was immortal.
Hehe have fun! I finished and it didn't hurt the game. |

Naw, you don't have to kill them, just knock them down and take their books. Almanacs of the Possessed. That's part of the seekers quest. If Brutus is your first one then you have 7 more to find and a book at Lamar's stone circle all by itself.
Also, since this is the spoiler forum, you don't need to hide your comments. That would be in the General forum. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

I swear, I tried talking to this guy before opening the gates and knocking him down. I wanted to try and pick pocket but no go. He just ask about the meat bugs. When I tried to knock him out I couldn't make a dent on his life meter. It stayed red no mater what. I was playing as a mercenary.
After I did the open gate thing and talked to him he became the baddie etc. When the cut scene ended he was motal and easy. I did come across another one near the end too but that's only too so far. I guess talking another path changes things. What do you think? |

Brutus must be immortal in ch 4, cause he needs to be around in ch 5 to become possessed. I didn't have to open the gate to beat him up, but maybe a bug for you. Doesn't matter as long as you have the book now. As a mage, once you find one of these possessed, usually Vino or Malak, then you go back to Pyrokar and he explains about needing the books and bringing one back to Karras for study. Pyrokar is then supposed to give you a magic letter that shows who has become possessed in each chapter. You find out more about the seekers and where they come from that way. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

Are you saying you have to play as a mage for these things to happen? If so I will try that route second time around.
I have another question. Try as I might I couldn't get anwar (spelling) to go with me. Did you have any throuble?

Yeah, Oh, do you mean Angar? The ex-templar? How many people have you asked so far, have you taken the ship yet? Have you chosen your captain yet? You can ask 9 people for crew, then Mario, then Captain, then take the ship. If you have captain already, he takes up one of the 9 slots, so does Girion if you've taken the ship properly. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

Yes Angar's the right name.
I read somewhere that you could choose 9 crew not including the Captain and Girion. That was what was wrong. I choose Mario after asking Angar without a problem. So I thought Mario had to go. I also read
Spoiler:
he may attack you later but instead I found his dead body.
I did finish the game. The end cutscene, after the credits, was funny. I want to play again as another character, meaning not mercenary. Have you tried all three? |

Yup, paladin is pretty fun. Mage is hard at the beginning but you get some awfully powerful spells by the end. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

I thhink you could use Marvin mode to insert everyone, and I think you can bring Biff in any case. But why would you want Raoul? _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.
