This guy is supposed to teach me how to be stronger. And I could have sworn I read somewhere that the strength he adds is very much like a potion of strength. It can boost your total up higher than the max of 100. So as soon I got my strength up to a natural 100, I drank my potions and went to talk to my friend Horatio. After the potions I have 110, so Horatio trains me and the screen says "Strength 100". Horatio took away the ten points my potions gave me! Luckily I still had a save game so I tried again to no avail. I ended up using him to get me to 95 before using my last ten with Lee. Then had the 5 left over for Dex. Horatio will give you extra strength but not more than 100 so next time I will just get him to teach me straight away.

how did you get horatio to train you? when i talk to him i have to tell him a good reason for him to train me... |

I ruined this part by mentioning something about peasents early on in the game, so he wouldnt even train me.  |

You tell him it is to destroy the Rice Lord, then he says something about other people having tried it before, and you tell him that you will do it or something and he trains you.

SPOILER : you have to talk to jeremiah , the guy in the bar that makes the Rice Schnapps, ask him about the Rice Lord, then go back and talk to Heritio.
