I have a Dell Dimension 4300 S
Pentium 4 1.4 GHz with intergrated audio
128 mb 133mhz SDram
32 mb ATI Rage Ultra video
Microsoft XP home edition
I was looking thru the troubleshooting section and noticed there were simular systems that were unable to run Gothic
would appreciate any suggestions

I doubt Gothic will run out of the box.
Graphics and soundcard are critical and will most likely require you to update the drivers or locate a compatible driver version.
WinXP is not ideal for Gothic and 128MB is practically not even enough for WinXP alone.

It might be a good idea to download the demo, itīs based on the same build as the release version.

128 is bare bones memory now adays - make sure the system has at least 500 meg (we know that programs are only going to be MORE memory hungry in the future). If you can afford it, I would suggest putting in 1 gig of memory - unless you like throwing away memory in a year to upgrade again.

Well it did launch out of the box but it is a strain on the comp. I can play for a couple hours then I have to reboot. To keep it going I am sure when I add ram it will function perfectly. I am havin a great time playin this game :)

Right on dude, I am getting 1 gig ddr ram for my next system. I like staying ahead of the hardware curve.
