i think you can make you own levels and characters. all the other stuff you sadi can be done with cheats |

No, you can do that with cheats.
The mod kit allows you to extract graphics and change them, extract sounds etc. and even make your own adventures. Look here on GothicDot for infos on cheating and some modding tutorials.
