Let me clear this out...
This is my computer:
900 Mhz AMD Athlon CPU
256 MB Ram
Geforce 2 MX
Windows XP
I can hardly run it... indoors its okay. But outside... i have to have everything on the lowest, no shadow, no view-distance... so, anyone with a computer below mine... can't run it smooth.
You are running the game in XP..which reduces the performance of the game. I've heard that you need almost 512 RAM for XP to smoothly run the game. I have Win 98 SE, Celeron 600, 198 RAM, GeForce2 MX and get smooth framerates outside up to 15-20 with view distance at half, no shadows at 1024x768. |

Very well then, if everybody asks if the game will run on their system I shall do so too:
900MHz AMD Athlon CPU

Windows 2000 OS

Would Morrowind probably run on my system?
What GPU is this graphics card based on?
While I don't know what a GPU might be, I guess you might mean which mainboard I'm having
to add this it is a
VIA KT 133 mainboard
and the full name of the graphics card is
Hercules 3d Prophet 4000xt-TVOUT 64mb |

| AMD Athlon Graphical Quality |
|
When I asked what the graphical quality would be on my
AMD Athlon 550
Geforce Pro 32 Mb
320 Mb RAM
The answer was decent but still low
What does that mean? What can I compare it to?
Will it be a blocky mess?
Will the textures be washed out ?
Will it stutter? |

I think it would still look good and be playable but you may have some slow frame rate especially in busy scenes like the towns such as Balmora; Slow as in 5-15fps at times. The game may also seem to load a lot.
There are a lot of tweaks mentioned throughout and I am sure you could improve upon this by cutting the view distance, turning the shadows off, and modifying the ini file. Also, if you already haven't, look into tweaking your system and GeForce settings.
Is there no demo of this out for people to test it on there system before purchase? The only way to really tell is to run it.
If I had read this forum first, I may have never even tried it myself. I found that it does not have to be as bad as a lot seem to claim, but I assume that a lot of it has to do with hardware compatibility/setup.
Good luck. _________________ T®îßã£Måñ
