GameSpot: Taking Applications For The GameSpot Street Squad

I almost passed this one on by...GameSpot is seeking out qualified men and women to apply for positions as <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/promos/streetsquad/index.html" target="_blank">"Game Spotters"</a>... <br> <br><blockquote><em>Do you make the cut? In order to apply for one of the few available spots on our crew, you must be: <br> 18 years of age or older. <br> A big-time video game lover, huge music fan and real crowd pleaser. <br> Super outgoing, highly energetic, mega friendly, fabulously fun and incredibly dependable. <br> Living in, or near, one of the cities listed above. <br> Available to work on the dates listed for your city. </em></blockquote> <br> <br>The GameSpot Street Squad will be touring the USA this summer with GameRiot... <br> <br><blockquote><em>GameSpot will be hitting the road this summer with GameRiot, the country's largest traveling video games expo and tournament. Together we'll be making stops at this summer's most rockin' music events and festivals. <br></em></blockquote> <br> <br>As a finale...interested applicants may also want to peruse the GameRiot <a href="http://www.gameriot.com/" target="_blank">website</a> for an in-depth comprehension about this proposed tour.

What is this post doing here? You are promoting a corporate scheme aiming to pimp out young people and get them to schmooze other young people into buying crap.
Come on RPGdot, you're a news service. To be frank Kristophe, some of your posts have dragged down the quality of this site.

Huh?

I hit up GameRiot at Lollapalooza last year, where it was FREE. On their site it says it's like only $5 at other places.

Best gaming experience I've ever had. Left with software, tired thumbs, and a smile. Came in 3rd in a Halo Championship on stage. Wasn't bracket though which is more fun....

maybe it is some monolithic corporate subsidy (I have no idea, but everyone there was pretty into the games and very cool) but either way, it was a blast, and it was free.

Went with 4 friends and we all loved it and are going back....

Sorry for the belated reply, bobdiggity - I am a new writer for RPGDot - and, perhaps I am am wrong, but I believe in writing the latest for all ages. Personally - I hit up the scene last year - didn't do too well, but it was fun:-)
