I'm having trouble finishing the quest where you have to find out how much ore each of the 3 mining camps has gotten so far. The one camp was easy because the paladin was still there and just told me, but at the other 2 one was decimated and the other one the paladin had left.
I have no idea where to find the people needed to get the info for the other 2 camps. I know one of the camps had a letter on the paladins body that said he gave the ore to diego, but that doesn't help me I have no idea where diego is.
The other camp... the one where the paladin had left but it hadn't been decimated I think I remember someone telling me that he went to some ice river but I wasn't really paying attention and its not on my journal. I looked around as best as I could in the frozen part of the map and I found nothing.
I need some insight here guys if any of you have finished this quest before. Thanks! |

Both of the others are close to the old castle, One is to the west of the castle, where there is a hut going up towards where the ice place is, there is a cave behind the hut inside is marcos from one of the mines.
Diego is in a hidden area to the south of the castle, when you go towards Xardas's old tower where the 2 other camps are, in between your travels you will notice a path going into the mountains take it, and you will find Diego in there. |

When you say old castle what do you mean? Is that the smaller square on the map with all the firelizards guarding the path up to it? I've scoured all around that area because I assumed thats what you ment and I haven't found anything yet  |

The old Castle is the place where you went to get the mission your on now, From the castle head south, and you should find a road heading to the south next to mountains, along a bit, while heading south you will notice a path into mountains to the left, follow it and you will come across Diego.
And the other guy, Marcos is to the West of the castle, check your map, you will find a path going down and into a small valley type of thing with a hut nearby behind that is a cave with marcos in it. Playing Gothic 1 before would have helped as you would know where I am talking about. |

I found Marcos, but Diego I still can't find. I went south from the castle and followed some path that led off the bridge and it took me into a valley where I could have climbed up some cliffs on the left which lead to fire lizards and on the right I found a small cave with some dead guy named Olav in it. No Diego :\ |

Ok I found him, he is to the south west of the castle in that little indention in the mountain that opens up to the west.

I CANNOT FIND DIEGO FOR THE LIFE OF ME
I found the other guy really easily. But I've spent HOURS trying to find diego

Is there a way I can just use the /goto command or something? Please anybody. I'm ready to give up, i can't believe how hard it is to find this guy |

Turn right and face Old Castle. Follow road north.Don`t turn right and don`t go up. Turn left and then follow north. Then you can go right - under some arcade - and left. Go left till the moment you can again go north straight to the castle. Go to the castle. On your right near some tree You should see dead knight/paladin. There id a passage with second dead. Furher seats Diego by campfire. Look on your map little above your current position - he is in place that looks like monster`s open mouth. Hope it helps. |

Look at the top middle part of your map where it looks like a sideways Y that opens to the left. Thats raised land - mountains - and the opening for the Y is the area where I found Diego.

LOL. Nice observation.
I followed the trail of dead soldiers to find Diego by fluke. I was going to ignore that passage completely, but was glad I didn't.
I never found Diego's mine. There were a lot of small tidbits that I never found in the Valley. Like Thorus.  |
