DAoC: More Bannings @ Camelot Herald |
|
Mythic continues to take strong action against Dark Age of Camelot players who make use of radar programs.
Hey, everyone. First, as always, we want to thank those who work with us to reduce the number of radar using cheaters in the game. We use your appeals as the starting point for banning people.

We also use technology, as you all know. For the last few months, we've been test driving our program's latest refinements. We didn't want to deliver bannings until we were absolutely sure we had no false positives. Well, we're sure now. So, to about four hundred and fifty people with nothing better to do but cheat at video games: Time for a new game, because you are now banned.

Please note that there are no appeals or second chances. If you did not cheat, you had the misfortune of lending your account to someone who did.

To everyone else - thanks for all your help!
|

450 DAoC subscribers were not banned. This is misleading.
450 accounts were banned. 99% of them are "bots" or second accounts of players who will open new radar-cheating accounts and cheat until they are caught again. Then, they will continue to rinse and repeat. |

450... isn't that about 10% of the people left playing daoc regularly? |
