So don't get childish, ok?

Uh.. Right. The posting just disappeared after an hour because..what? Elvis ate it? Deleting is lame. Unless there's some illegal content in the comments anything should be ok. If you don't want opinions then don't open a forum. I use this forum to vent my incredible frustration with Morrowind and share my views with other fellow frustrated Morrowinders. If you don't like what I write then don't read what I write. I am sure there are thousand of other Morrowind-fanboydom postings you can read.

And since you're not here to discuss things like the rest of us and I find you irritating and you find me (apparently) "low" and "childish", let's just leave each other alone. Let's start ignoring each other!

Dungeons

I remember playing Daggerfall and being lost in one of the gigantic generic dungeons and thinking to myself "Aaaargh, I hate whoever made this stupid game". Then I buy Morrowind and enter a dungeon thinking "Wow, they're all man-made, this is gonna be good!" and later notice that when I have reached the end of the dungeon, my butt still sticks out through the dugneon entrance door! They're that small. (or something else is rather big..)

I never thought I would prefer gigantic, generic, randomized dungeons before handcrafted dungeons. Now I miss being lost all of a sudden.

Oh and if someone could post a reply with the name and location of a big, fun dungeon in Morrowind I'd appreciate it.

I just don't like when you lie. You said I deleted a posting of you here. I didn't. That's all.

That's very odd. I wrote it at work, read it and reloaded it several times to see if there were any new replies to it. Then I went home, checked my email, found an email from Rendelius telling me to take my discussions away from Game comments, so I check out the page, notice I've been deleted from the Games comments page, check out the Forums and my posting was gone too. And it didn't take me a whole hour to get home..

Maybe Elvis DID eat it after all?

Naa. I dont compare one game to another. If you do that then you will never see the game for what it is. I play the game for what it is and decide if i like it or not. I wouldnt like to see anything in daggerfall in morrowind or anything from morrowind in daggerfall.

If i get to mattius's point of hatred for a game, well it would be time for me to sell my comp and stay away from video games the rest of my life.

Not making jokes bro, i would. I do understand youre point about spending all that money upgrading your comp though. But so did everyone else. But think of it this way. Now you can go buy any game out there and play it with no problem. Its just one game. It doesnt matter if they spend 20 years making a game, there is always that chance that it will suck or it just wasnt what you thought it was. Morrowind was everything I imagined and didnt come up short. I love the kingsfield games so maybe that is why. The npc's were the same way, but if you understand them and get to know them they are full of life. Hell, you have everquest 2 and that star wars role player coming out not to mention a few others and your comp is all set. Sorry to the star wars fans for not knowing the name to the star wars rpg. hehe. Ducks and runs for cover. If you are still upset at spending the money on the game ask people you know if they want to buy it. Let them try it out on your comp.

=Fixed your post. -Val=

I miss something from daggerfall, but yet Morrowind is much better.

Also because the problem that you encounter in MW (the feeling that everything is all the same, stupid npcs, killer bugs...) are about the same you encountered in DF!!!

After sometime i got bored of DF, and now I start getting bored of MW...

Argh, I borrowed an Ultima Collectionfrom a friend in my dorm but the stupid thing won't run on Windows XP!! Guess I'll never know what Ultima 7 was like.. Oh well, I have great memories of Ultima 1-5 on my C64 at least.

A long time ago I read an interview with the game developers on Bethesda. (It was on the old Gamespot.com before it went pay) In the interview they said that they had listened to the players of Daggerfall and decided to make the dungeons smaller and have more of a purpose.. I guess I have to blame the old Daggerfall players for the teeny-weeny dungeons in Morrowind. But I wonder what happened to the purpose thing?
