Question about enchanting |
|
I want to enchant a dwarven claymore at the mages guild in Balmora. I have a golden saint trapped in azura's star to be able to make a constant.
After adding some moderate number of poison damage and making it constant, the enchantment "cost" skyrockets resulting in something about 500 while the sword can hold a whopping 8.
Does this mean I have to stick to my trusted Chrysamere and forget about enchantments? Are there any swords that can hold 1000 or 2000? |

I haven't found anything that holds an enchantment over 150-200 and I think that was a daedric object of some sort. I dont even know if constant effect would work with a weapon. Wouldn't it just fire off constantly as long as you have it equiped?
However, with cast when strikes you still have some pretty sweet options.
I enchanted a Daedric Katana that i got as part of the Lost mine quest
with the 60K soul gem from the balmora mages.
It does like 4-50 damage + 40-50 health damadge on a 4 foot radius
and has 30+ uses per charge.
It can take down a golden saint with 3-4 hits and since I've never come across 10 golden saints (or the equivalent) it's never craped out on me in combat.
Just remember to use a back-up sword on all the cliff racers. |

I think of all my objects, the best was an exquisite ring, which held 200 points. It's now enchanted with +24 intelligence (constant effect).
