Sottilde won't hand over the code book!

I got the code book quest from the fighter's guild, but unfortunately I am also a member of the thieves guild, and as such Sottilde won't give me the book. I bribed her to 100 disposition, and no luck. I also trained my speechcraft to 45 (the highest the guy below her will train to) and I have not been successful trying to taunt her into attacking me. What I need to know is:

Is there an easy way to get the book while still remaining in the thieves guild? Or...

Is there another npc that will train my speechcraft higher than 45? Or...

If this will make a difference, how or where can I get a potion or scroll that will significantly raise my personality (so I can taunt better)? Or...

Is it just hopeless?

Sure

You can aquire that book in many ways. The best is probably by careful negotiations - if your Speechcraft skill isn't too dire, try bribing her. Once her disposition gets reasonably high, she'll see your side of the argument and just hand it over.

However, if you're not a very nice Knight, and can't be bothered with negotiations, you could try walloping her over the head with a Battle Axe. Be warned! Some of the other patrons of the club might not approve...

Save before doing anything silly...
