Hey Guys...

I was sitting one night (until 8 in the morning..heh) and playing with the grafix and sounds in Gothic..

The problem with the crashes all the time is..

1). Gothix does not unload correct from memory. That means that the more you play the more it eats of your memory..

2). XP can not manage to unload all the DLL, speach and Grafix that will free some memory..

To fix it..And it works very well..

I have a 1 Ghz Athlon
Asus V7700 GTS Gforce2 32 MB Ram AGP
384 MB Ram
SoundBlaster Live 1024

And my machine is very fast indeed..But when it comes to Gothic..It was Fast enough and every detail was on..but it crashes sometimes..

Try and lower your resolution to 800x600x32 and EAX2 (if your soundcard supports it), and you will avoid any crash..

The higher your resolution the more memory Gothic will eat from XP, and that is why Gothix (XP) crashes.

Restart your computer when your reach a new chapter.

I have played through the entire game and havent had a single crash..

Well...Just thought i let you know..

After Gothic killed both my sound drivers and my graphics drivers I reinstalled them... after that everything has been working superb! No hangs, no sluggish, nothing but good.
