Ok, I'm fighting the Sleeper and I don't understand how to get close enough to it because he just puts me to sleep and kills me, any help would be well accepted.

Had you not skipped over the dialogue, you would have heard that you have to open of those "boxes" around the platform the sleeper is in, and drive the swords you got from the shamans into the hearts there. That will summon a demon.

It's harder than it sounds. The Sleeper has a nasty habit of spiting fire, and those demons are tough.
