I have been trying to follow Jemy's walkthrough light to do as many quests as possible without using skill points so I can make that big save before choosing a camp or profession. Well Jemy says to do every quest in the New camp except the "Betray the Old Camp" quest. I seem to have done all the quests, but haven't got that quest on my quest list. When I ask Lares if that is enough to join him, I get a message saying I need to be level five to join. So do I have to join him as a rouge to get the quest to betray the OC? Should I join him as a rouge if I am considering joining one of the other camps?

the quest is one of the old camp, but you give the list to one of the new camp first instead of diego.

While a walkthrough is nice; sometimes it's just as fun to venture out on your own,."to explore new worlds, to boldly go where no man has gone before"...oops, I got into Star Trek there for a moment. Anyway, use the walkthru as a guide, not the absolute.

I agree with you, as tempting as it may be I try to not spoil myself. Discovering things as simple as the use for a frying pan is very fun for me. But I did read the walkthrough "light" and found the whole concept behind doing a bunch of non-combat (somewhat errand-boyish) quests while saving skill points in preparation for a master save that I can use my next time though VERY helpful. This way when I want to go through the game again as a mage I won't have to do all the same newbie quests again and will have a bunch of points saved ready to be spent on mage skills rather that having already been spent on fighting skills. And I will be able to choose whatever camp I like without having to re-do all the little prerequisite tasks each camp asks you to do before you can join. So in that respect the walkthrough light has given me a great starting point from which I can boldly go where no prisoner has gone before many times over. Something I couldn't do with other games like BG2 where you choose a class at the very start and are forced to do every little thing all over again if you want to replay a different role (I was so sick of Irenicus' Dungeon I just couldn't do it any more). Thanks Jemy, the walkthrough light is genius. Well I suppose I am just gonna leave the new camp now.
