is it hard to beat the game using mostly magic? _________________ "What are you gonna do? Release the dogs?! Or the bees?! Or dogs with bees in their mouth so that when they bark they shoot bees at you?" - Homer Simpson |

No...not really. As long as you get space between you and your opponent, that is! _________________ "Don't you call me a mindless philosipher, you old weight lob of grease."

Well, yes. For some missions. I used a good bow to make things easier.
Bows, although a ranged weapon, get more potent and powerful as your enemy gets closer. They even punch them backwards and it's possible, though difficult, to keep a single enemy back until it's dead. _________________ Erb Duchenne |

so would it be better to invest in bows with spare points or invest in swords and str with spare points after investing in magic and mana? _________________ "What are you gonna do? Release the dogs?! I dunno what chapter you are in, but save skill points until you are max'd on magic circles(atleast to circle 4) and "make do" with which ever weapon you like best.......I prefer a ranged weapon, but it does'nt make much difference. _________________ Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?

It appears as if my advice was short-lived
Though now that I've actually restarted Gothic as a Mage, I see it now. _________________ "Don't you call me a mindless philosipher, you old weight lob of grease."

Well, I was the best fighter in the colony, the best mage in the colony and probably the best archer in the game. You can be a pro at fighting, but at the same time you can be a mighty mage. _________________ There once was a youngster, DzD
