Fallout 3: Mini-interview @ Gaming Source

It's amazing to think this is our 11th post on Bethesda's Fallout 3, especially considering the depth of the news. Gaming Source is the latest site to question Pete Hines, with similar results:
GAMINGSOURCE: Fallout fans seem to be skeptical about whether Bethesda will be making a Fallout 3 that is true to the original series. Do you think Fallout 3 will satisfy the fanatics within the Fallout community?

PETE HINES: I sure hope so. We won't be able to know for sure until the game comes out and people play it and decide whether they like it or not.

I have an idea of how to make a FO3 that FO1 and 2 fans will like: keep the same core mechanics like TB only.

"people play it and decide whether they like it or not."

OHHH no no no no. People look at the box, see if it's a first person game and decide not to buy it because THATS NOT WHAT FALLOUT IS. OMG I am sooo not looking forward to another ulitma 9.

Another Ultima IX? That would be nice Or another KQVIII for that matter. But wy put 'Falout' on the box? I agree, they should stick close to the orriginal game-mechanics.
