Two Handed Skill Question

Hi. New here. Quick question.

I am currently on chapter 2, level 10, joined the OC guards, and I have NO SKILL IN ANY WEAPON. I have around 50 skill points saved up. I have Bullit's one handers and a Light Two Handed Sword (from a dead templar that got eaten by a SwampShark).

My questions are:

1. Should I save the points to talk to Lee in the future to raise my Two Handed skill w/o training One Handed or should I train One handed to level 2 and then raise 2 Handed with Thorus?

2. Will I be able to survive easily with 2 Handed unskilled until I reach Lee?

3. Should I just go join Firemage instead?

I ask this because at this stage, I am basically kicking major booty with the Light Two Handed Sword and have yet to actually have a tough fight.

I guess the question should be, do you want to be a mage or a warrior?
You can survive without training in one-handed weapons. In fact, if you want to be a mage, I'd suggest training in magic and then when you have some extra skill points, then train in two-handed from Lee.

I think I want to stick to Warrior the first time. So, my ultimate question is:

Should I:

a) Keep saving up Skill Points and wait until Lee can train me in 2 Handed

or

b) Train 1 Handed and 2 Handed as soon as possible.

I ask this because I am wondering if there are any boss mobs that are too tough to fight before I get to NC to be trained in 2H by Lee (right now, Lee will not train me since I don't belong to NC). If there are no major fighting obstacles, then I shall use up all my skill points (except the 40 I will need to master 2H) on Str.

TIA!

Since your going the warrior route you'll want to train in 1-handed and 2-handed then. You'll also want to max out your strength.

That depends on what camp you plan on joining. Lee will only train you if you are part of the New Camp. Likewise with Thorus. If I were you I would join the Old Camp. Go ahead and start training in 1-handed, and train in 2-handed ASAP. In my opinion this is the most important step in becoming a killing machine.

Focus on strength and 1handed sword at first, because you won't find a two handed sword until later(unless you ask us for a location, which is something you shouldn't do, because you'll lose a bit of the "exploring" feeling).

Yes, it depends on which camp you want to join. If you're in the New Camp, you can become a mercenary very early in the game (only require you to be level 10). Then Lee can teach you after that. So I would say that it's not too necessary to train 1h weapons if you're a new camper.

In that case I would suggest you to go ahead and learn 1h skills and then 2h skills. It will take a long time before Lee can teach you.

If you don't want to waste any skill ponits then don't get 1 hand weapon skill. Just start pumping your strength. There are no hards bosses you have to fight and can survive quite easily until you reach Lee.
It doesn't matter anyway because Gothic isn't very skill important like Diablo or other roleplaying game. In the end you can actaully max out everything so its just a matter of when you get it. If you get one hand now you will be stronger now, if you wait for two handed weapon you will be stronger when you get up to that stage.
