OK trained to the fifth circle of fifth magic. Went to Xardas to see what he had to say. He didnt have anything to say about becoming a necro or joining the sixth circle. Do you have to have the 40 skill points for him to bring that up? Or does he talk about it in a later chapter?

I'm not sure if you need to have the skill points (although I assume that you do), but you have to be in chapter 6, I think.

Yepp, but there is no need to have 40 skillpoints to get the option. You only need to be circle a water mage to get that option.

It only takes 100 to become a master of 1 and 2 hand weapons.

Yes, and besides, a mage needs mana, so he'll end up far weaker than any warrior(a normal warrior will be able to get 100strength/dexterity + Master 1H/2H and Crossbow), while a mage will end up with 100 mana, 6th circle + 70 or so in strength + 1H/2H master.
